Bedtime Stretch | Las Vegas Edition #2

Positive Affirmation Of The Day: I believe in the person I want to be.

I'm always exhausted in Vegas. I find that the nocturnal events in the city always absorbs the life right out of me. I can't stay up past midnight like I used to.

I find that practicing yoga helps me relax and sleep better in Vegas, or any city for that matter. Sometimes, I get too lazy to slide off the bed to stretch. So I just do it in bed- both before and after I sleep.

Hope this video helps, and if not- you can always enjoy the music!

Be well,

Emily

November: Birthday Month

Positive Affirmation of The Day:
I am a unique gift to this world and delight in the sharing of this gift.

My epic Halloween costume for 2016 (inspired by the popular Chinese drama 甄嬛传)

This has been a relatively tumultuous year. Lots of stuff happened, and equally, lots of stuff didn't happen. All in all, I found myself a lot more at peace than when I was in my early 20's.

I used to have a hard time maintaining balance. I would stress myself out easily, or get frustrated over trivial things. Not anymore. I haven't been genuinely upset for a few years now. I found value in being cheerful and brightening the lives of my loved ones & friends. Don't be that fool who's thinks it's ok to be negative.

My sweet sweet boyfriend surprising me with a lovely necklace from Tiffany's as per our birthday tradition. He knows I don't like to eat cake, and only got me napoleons and tiramisu. That's the highest level of thoughtfulness...when a significant other places your health above anything else.

SCORPIO SEASON!

This year was also a year of physical transformations. My body finally mastered the scorpion pose (as pictured above).

At the beginning of January 2016, I wrote to myself that I was going to figure out the scorpion pose no matter what. And I did it!

The most satisfying thing about exercising daily is to welcome the moment you actually DO accomplish the pose you worked so hard on. Nothing beats that satisfaction.

And finally, here's a short video I created in Malibu (with the help of Lord Voldemort) that should help anyone out there with upper body strength deficiency. I used to hate working out my wrist and shoulders...still don't like them very much. But I found a fun way to amuse myself and I hope you do too!

Be well,

Emily
